Circulating Video of Armenian Army Executed by Azerbaijan Army

STEPANAKERT – In the midst of the tumult of the war Nagorno Karabakh, circulating two videos posted on the messaging application showing the execution of soldiers Armenia by the team Azerbaijan. The release of the video has the potential to do research on war crimes in the disputed territory.

Quoted from the BBC, Saturday (24/10/2020) a video shows what looks like two people in Armenian military uniforms being captured by Azerbaijani troops. The second video shows the same Armenian being shot with his hands behind his back.

Armenian authorities have identified the men as Benik Hakobyan (73) and Yuri Adamyan (25). However, the Azerbaijanis considered the video to be fake.

In the video, a person who speaks Russian with a thick Azerbaijani accent orders the people to walk forward, hand over any weapons and raise their hands. He spoke to other soldiers in Azerbaijan, telling them not to beat the prisoners.

The younger prisoner, Yuri Adamyan, then took off his helmet and jacket before raising his hands in the air and walking out.

Although the older man, Benik Hakobyan, was wearing a military style camouflage jacket, it was unclear if he was a soldier. He was pushed to the ground and appeared to be groaning in pain.

The first video is followed by a second video showing the execution of the two men.
