The president of Cinecolombia, Munir Falah announced that the theaters will open on May 1, after a year of closure due to the covid-19 pandemic.
This March 14, the company meets 365 days without receiving, but Falah gave Colombians the good news that they will soon open their sauces.
“Today, March 14-2021, marks one year since Cine Colombia closed all its Multiplexes nationwide, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The day expected by many has arrived. We will turn on the projectors on: May 1 – 2021” the businessman wrote on his Twitter account.

From the aforementioned date, Colombians will be able to once again enjoy all the premieres and the magic of the seventh art at the Cine Colombia Multiplexes.
2019 was the record year for Cine Colombia, because according to Munir Falah, a period in which a net profit of 76,130 million pesos was obtained.
Currently the total cases of covid-19 in the country reached 2,299,082. Of these, 2,199,508 have already recovered and 31,036 are still active. The deceased are already 61,046.
It is worth mentioning that since November 25, 2020, the country’s movie theaters had permission to reopen their doors. However, Cine Colombia refrained from opening because, at that time, the reproduction rate of covid-19 in the national territory was high and they did not want to take risks.
