Saturday, July 8 from 8:30 p.m., the artist Christine Laizé will perform in concert at the Notre-Dame Izel Vor church in La Forêt-Fouesnant as part of her tour entitled “Traversée”. Hildegard of Bingen, Purcell, Handel, Vivaldi, Bach, Schubert: the compositions of the masters still upset several centuries after their writing. Christine Laizé chooses a solo form for this journey through Western history. She meets the public with the simple trappings of a violin, a viola, a lyrical voice and an unalterable passion for music. Behind this simplicity, however, hides the prowess of singing lyrical airs while accompanying oneself on the alto. The warm timbre of the counter alto voice mingles with that of this little-known but equally deep instrument. Finally the concert ends with a touch of humor specific to contemporary vocal music.
