For the first time in recent years, most likely even since the privatization in 2004, the largest company in Romania publishes in an annual report the revenues of management, ie the revenues of those who hold the helm of Petrom, a company valued by investors on the Stock Exchange. Bucharest at about 5.4 billion euros.

Thus, Christina Verchere, CEO of OMV Petrom (SNP), the largest company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in terms of capitalization, published in the report “on remuneration for 2021 OMV Petrom”, which investors can access in the section GMS, a basic gross salary of 414,000 euros in 2021, ie about 34,500 euros per month.

The annual bonus was 589,000 euros in 2021, to which is added the tranche of the long-term incentive plan (LTIP), which also includes actions in the period 2019-2021, of approximately 487,700 euros. So, from the bonus and from the shares, Christina Verchere added 1.1 million euros to the gross remuneration, resulting in a total of 1.49 million euros in the 2021 report.

Alina Popa, CFO and member of the board of directors of Petrom, published a basic salary of 263,800 euros, ie 23,000 euros per month, plus a bonus of 143,000 euros plus the LTIP tranche of 179,000 euros, so a total remuneration of 587,000 euros .

Radu Căprău, member of the directorate responsible for refining & marketing, published a basic salary of 273,000 euros, ie 23,000 euros per month, plus a bonus of 137,000 euros plus the LTIP tranche of 165,000 euros, so a total remuneration of 574,000 euros .

“In addition to the remuneration components indicated above, board members receive benefits in kind, including a car service and accident insurance. Additional allowances (eg accommodation) have been agreed for foreign employees. For the financial year 2021, the following benefits in kind were paid: Christina Verchere: 581 euros; Alina Popa: 363 euros; Radu Căprău: 363 euros; Franck Albert Neel: 366 euros; Christopher Veit: 348 euros. Board members employed abroad receive compensation for previous pension plans, in the following amounts: Christina Verchere: 248,500 euros; Frank Albert Neel: 120,000 euros; and Christopher Veit: 193,843 euros “, the Petrom report shows.
