A girl (15) was offered a thousand kronor from FRP politician Christian Tybring-Gjedde to take off her hijab when she visited the party’s polling station, reports TV 2.

Tybring-Gjedde, who is FRP’s first candidate in Oslo, writes in one posts on Facebook that on August 25 he ended up in a heated discussion with a group of first-time voters about the hijab.
– I put it all on the line by offering the woman with the hijab a thousand bucks, if she took it off. It was voluntary. She did not want to make any quick money, he writes.
TV 2 has been in contact with the 15-year-old girl, who goes to a high school in Oslo who visited the polling booths to write a school assignment.
– I became curious, and when I came to the stall I heard that Frp thought there should be a ban on shawls. I went ahead to hear what he had to say.
Following the incident, the principal at Bjerke upper secondary school has sent a letter to the FRP’s parliamentary group, in which they strongly dissociate themselves from the incident.
FRP leader Sylvi Listhaug distances herself from the performance.
– There was a heated discussion and I think we should not have such performances at our stand. I spoke with Christian today, and he is sorry that some of this came out the way it did, she says to TV 2.
