– After Cho Kook-shim’s wife, Dongyang University professor Chung Gyeong-shim, was sentenced to four years in prison at the first trial for charges related to child entrance examination, etc. Some people in the legal profession are predicting that they could be subject to investigation for attempted coercion.

On the 23rd, Professor Jeong was sentenced to four years in prison after all charges related to illegal entrance examinations, including forgery of private documents, were convicted. Part 25 of the Seoul Central District Court’s Criminal Agreement (Deputy Judge Lim Jeong-yeop Kwon Seong-soo, Kim Sun-hee) convicted of forgery of the Tong Yang University citation in relation to Professor Cho’s daughter, which was the main issue, and the issuance of false certificates of intern activities.

The judge said, “President, my daughter was pretty. Even if you see the child, please do so (I commissioned him).” Former President Choi has also stated that he had requested over the phone to tell him that he had delegated the issuance of the Tong Yang University citation, and in the process he had also spoken with Cho.

After such a ruling, Rep. Kim and Chairman Yoo, who called the former president Choi regarding the issue of awarding the citation for Professor Chung’s daughter in September last year, are also saying that “they may be subject to investigation for attempted coercion by telephone.” . At the time, Rep. Kim and Chairman Yoo drew a line, saying, “There is a fact that we have been on the phone with Choi,” and that “it was not a call to the purpose of helping the couple of candidates for Cho.”

On the other hand, Choi has insisted that Congressman Kim and Chairman Yoo made a conciliatory call in court. Former President Choi said that, in attendance at the trial held last March as a witness, Chairman Yoo called and said that although it is not blatantly, “please tell me that you have delegated” and “it is not your business, what are you calling?”

At the same time, he said on the phone with Rep. Kim. “There was no word of delegation, but he said that it would be okay if Rep. Kim (Prof. Jeong’s side) should do what he said.” Former President Choi replied, “I thought you were doing useless things” to the prosecution’s question about what he thought when he received calls from Rep. Kim and Chairman Yoo.
