Chinese vaccine business: the formal denial of Samir Machour, Senior Vice President of Samsung Biologics

The press recently echoed a deal between Marita Group, owned by businessman Rahal Boulgoute, and Moroccan Samir Machour, Senior Vice-President of Samsung Biologics, to produce, market and sell everything type of Chinese vaccines in Morocco. According to Samir Machour, this is purely and simply fake news.

It is the colleague Ledesk.ma who recently reported this information by underlining in particular that the businessman Rahal Boulgoute, boss of Marita Group, associated with the one that the press presents as being very active in the purchase of vaccines for Morocco ”. According to the same support, “the two Moroccans have joined forces to produce, market and sell all types of vaccines in partnership with a Chinese laboratory”.

Contacted by us, Machour, Senior Vice President of Samsung Biologics, denied this information, saying that it is fake news. A formal denial thus opposed to colleague Ledesk.ma, who had even specified that the company created by the two investors is called Maroc Vax. “According to the status of the company consulted by us, its corporate purpose is: the production, marketing and distribution of all types of vaccines and pharmaceutical products. Maroc Vax signed an agreement in April with Yuxi Watson, a Chinese laboratory, for the import, distribution and sale of the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13), ”revealed Ledesk.ma.
