Chinese coronavirus: a real-time map to follow the evolution of the epidemic

As the mysterious Chinese coronavirus appears to be spreading more and more, a map tracks the progress of the epidemic in real time.

The map, available HERE, was developed by researchers at the Johns-Hopkins University in the United States. It lists all confirmed cases worldwide, as well as those suspected. It is updated in real time.

“We think it’s important for the public to understand the situation as it unfolds,” Lauren Gardner, who heads the team, said on American television.

First cases in France

As we can see, the coronavirus is, for the moment, mainly concentrated in China, particularly in the region of Wuhan where it appeared.

Several other cases are also listed in neighboring countries. The United States and Australia are also affected, as is France, which has confirmed six proven cases.

The toll of the viral pneumonia epidemic has increased to 258 dead and more than 10,000 people infected in China.
