The Chinese government attaches great importance to the development of compulsory education. The popularization rate of compulsory education in China has risen from less than 80% more than 10 years ago to over 90% today. With this, all children should go to school and first-class universities in the world should be established in China.
In China, state-funded education plays the most important role. Recently, private education has also developed, but it cannot be equated with state-financed education in terms of scope and level.
