China refutes the allegations of the head of NASA. “Irresponsible slander” – o2

NASA director Bill Nelson in an interview with the German newspaper “Bild” said that China could take the moon as part of its military program. He stressed that the Chinese space program is essentially military in nature.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to Bill Nelson’s statements on Monday. – This is not the first time that the head of the US National Aeronautics and Space Agency ignores the facts and says irresponsible things about China – said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian.

The American side is constantly waging a slanderous campaign against the Chinese space program. China strongly opposes such irresponsible remarks, emphasized Zhao.


A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that his country had always wanted to cooperate with other nations in space. He added that China wanted to build the future of mankind and “has always been against” the cosmic arms race.

As part of the Artemis space program, NASA plans to send a manned mission into the orbit of the moon in 2024. A dozen or so months later, the astronauts are scheduled to land on the Silver Globe, near its South Pole. China’s plans for the moon are so far limited to unmanned missions.
