On December 1, the “China Manned Space Engineering Exhibition” jointly sponsored by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the China Manned Space Engineering Office was officially open to the public free of charge. It is reported that this is the first time that the development history and construction achievements of the manned spaceflight project have been comprehensively and systematically displayed to the Hong Kong society.

On the morning of that day, reporters from China News Service saw at the scene that the exhibition attracted a large number of Hong Kong citizens and tourists from home and abroad to watch. Mr. Chen, a Hong Kong citizen, told reporters that this exhibition gave him a new understanding of the development of the mainland and that he was deeply proud of the rapid advancement of the country’s science and technology. Lei Jianquan, president of the Hong Kong Aerospace Association, said in an interview that he plans to lead groups of students and members to visit in the future. He believes that this exhibition is a rare learning opportunity for the young generation of Hong Kong. The precious exhibits on display can give them a deeper understanding of China’s aerospace development. On the same day, many schools also organized teachers and students to visit and study.

It is reported that the exhibition is held in two venues, the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of History. The main exhibits include a 1:15 model of the space station assembly, Long March 2F, Long March 7, Long March 5B launch vehicles, and a new generation of manned launch vehicles. Rockets and other models, as well as physical objects such as in-cabin spacesuits, Shenzhou 13 return capsules, space cold atomic microwave clocks, environmental control and life support equipment, as well as future manned lunar landings such as new-generation manned spacecraft and lunar lander Main aircraft product models. The latest video taken by the crew of Shenzhou 17 showing the ignition and return of Shenzhou 16 in orbit was also displayed at the scene. It is reported that the exhibition will be held simultaneously at the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of History, with the exhibition period from December 1, 2023 to February 18, 2024, for a total of 80 days.
