Chilean Ambassador to Colombia after armed attack: “Everything indicates that it was common crime” | International

The Chilean ambassador to Colombia, Ricardo Hernández, He referred to the armed attack of which he was a victim in Bogotá on Tuesday afternoon and which was uninjured, after the carabinieri who worked as his escort repelled the attackers.

“I do not have any well-founded element to elaborate any supported theory, therefore, the first theory that the Colombian prosecution is elaborating is common crime and if there were some other scenario, some other motivation will arise as the proceedings are advanced, but for now everything indicates that it was common crime ”, he claimed.

The ambassador also stated that he called the Carabineros director general, Mario Rozas, to thank the work of his escort, Sergeant Edurado Garrido, who managed to repel the attack.
