Neustadt in Holstein. In the Day care center “Am Wasserturm” and in the branch office “Schatzinsel” a big summer festival was celebrated at the end of a two-week project period under the theme “Children of this World”.
During the previous project period, the cultures and customs of different countries were discussed with the children. Parents and children from international nations were invited, among other things, to present songs, recipes or dances from their countries of origin in the day-care center.
The children of the day-care centers had the opportunity to get to know the different countries of their playmates. “It was particularly important for the educational staff in this project to take up the colorful diversity of our society and to face current events in the world with positive energy,” explained facility manager Karsten Schau.
An extensive supporting program with many games and activities provided fun and joy for young and old visitors. (red)
