The World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) are investigating a new, as yet unknown form of hepatitis. Hepatitis that does not belong to the already known variants was diagnosed in children in the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands and Spain, among others. In the United Kingdom, six children have already had a new liver transplant.
