Factory Chery in Wuhu, China, it is claimed that it has a production capacity of up to 300 thousand vehicles per year, or 60 cars per hour and one whole car comes out one minute. This factory is also capable of producing 200 thousand biodegradable parts.
The production results from this factory are then used to meet the domestic market and are distributed to a number of countries, including Indonesia.
“Chery Intelligent Connected Mega Factory is a manifestation of Chery’s technological progress which has implemented advanced AI performance, so it is able to have large production capacity,” said Shawn Xu, President of PT Chery Sales Indonesia and Vice President of Chery International in an official statement received, Wednesday ( 10/18).
Chery Intelligent Connected Mega Factory with an area of 830 thousand square meters and a building area of around 550 thousand square meters, Chery Intelligent Connected Mega Factory construction has 164 work outlets (workstation).
There are also six automated main production lines, five flexible sub-assembly lines, and three high-precision inspection lines to produce more than 10 types of product series, including ICE (internal combustion engine), hybrid, BEV, and products from Chery’s three new generation platforms.
The factory has stamping facilities, welding workshops, painting workshops, general assembly workshops, modular workshops, machine workshops, transmission workshops and relevant supporting facilities.
These facilities work simultaneously and are supported by a system that uses renewable energy.
Apart from that, more than 300 robots work in this factory. As a result, it can provide high efficiency, low operating costs, and excellent production quality from the use of high technology.
