The fighters from coach Vasil Evtimov’s team qualified for the semi-finals in the National Basketball League.
In the second game against Levski, the basketball players from “Chernomorets” won 88:74 (25:17, 26:23, 24:19, 13:15) and won the series 2-0.
The success sends the “sharks” to the next phase, as their opponent will be the winner of the series between Balkan and CSKA, where match #3 will be played.
“It was not an easy victory, but it is always difficult to play against Levski. Congratulations to the boys, we are in the semi-finals for the second year in a row and this is a success for our team. There is nothing to talk about the statistics. I want us to prepare already for the winner against Balkan-CSKA, they will be a little more tired. We have to prepare, we have two days off and we are back to work. I think that both teams are equal,” commented Vasil Evtimov.
Alex Wandier scored 15 points for the victory, Andrei Ivanov and Tony Trosha added 14 each.
The 1/4-final playoff pairs in the NBL: are Spartak Pleven – Black Sea Ticha and Balkan – CSKA. The matches are on May 3.
The winners of these matches will qualify for the semi-finals in our men’s championship, where Chernomorets and Rila athlete are already.
