[周刊王CTWANT] Yu Bangyan, vice chairman of Hsinchu city of the Kuomintang, announced in recent days his withdrawal from the party but, to the strong consolation of the Kuomintang, the elected councilor of Hsinchu city of the Kuomintang, Chen Qingling, decided to withdraw from the election of the vice president.

The Kuomintang currently confirms that all 14 party members support Xu Xiurui’s re-election campaign. However, in the recent fake vice-presidential vote, Chen Qingling won 8 votes against Yu Bangyan’s 6. Therefore, Yu Bangyan issued a resignation from the party on Facebook and announced his retirement from the KMT. However, after coordinating and communicating with Xu Xiurui and others, Chen Qingling yesterday decided to withdraw from the vice president election and supported Yu Bangyan in his bid for re-election as vice president.

Chen Qingling personally confirmed that he would choose courtesy, mainly because of the unity of the Kuomintang and not wanting to give the DPP a chance. If an individual is elected as the vice chairman is a trifle, but the Kuomintang cannot be divided, because once the Kuomintang splits, it will give the DPP a chance, and it is also possible to influence the 2024 election.

Chen Qingling said: “Personal sacrifice is a trivial matter.” He is very loyal to the Kuomintang, so he is not happy to see any party member leave the party. If Yu Bangyan has a desire to be re-elected, then he can get the Kuomintang back together by stepping back. Initially, the relationship with Yu Bangyan was very good, so we shouldn’t hurt each other’s feelings due to the split in the election of the vice president.
