Chelsea’s Reece James has been suspended for one match and fined £90,000 for using “foul language” towards a match official.

The English footballer was punished for a verbal altercation with a match referee following Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League last month. Despite the injury, the Chelsea captain confronted a match official in the tunnel after the match ended and addressed her with insulting words.
