Thomas Tuchel stated that the Chelsea will not make “excuses” despite the severe restrictions imposed on the club after the sanctions of the British government against its owner, the Russian Roman Abramovich.
The English team is operating under a special license, after the British government last week freeze Abramovich’s assetsas part of a list of punitive measures after the russian invasion on Ukraine. This license prevents Chelsea, and by extension millionaire Abramovich, from generating new income.
Chelsea are banned from selling tickets and cannot spend more than 20,000 pounds ($26,000) per trip at games away from Stamford Bridge.
The European Champion travels to France to face the Little in the second leg of the round of 16 Champions League on Wednesday, although he starts with the 2-0 lead achieved in the first leg.

There are restrictions and we have to deal with it“said Tuchel. “There are adjustments in the number of ‘staff’ that travels, in the number of rooms and in how we travel.”
“As far as I understand, everything is in order now. We can arrive in professional conditions because this is not a matter of luxury,” she added.
“We have a margin to go and play the game in Lille, where there will be no excuse for this type of organization.”
