Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus linked with Antoine Griezmann – Marseille news

Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus are interested in signing Antoine Griezmann, although there are no concrete offers from them yet, according to a new report.

FC Barcelona are keen to get rid of the French star’s huge salary, but they also know they have a valuable player and only want to make a deal if the conditions are right.

Atlético Madrid appeared to be in pole position to secure Griezmann, in a signal exchange that included Saúl Ñíguez going the other way. However, it appears the talks fell apart, with Barcelona hoping to get a little more money on top of getting Saúl, and Atlético refusing. Moreover, the salaries ordered by Griezmann and Saúl were too high for both clubs.

Griezmann will start the preseason, in all likelihood, still under contract with the Catalans. This could pose a problem considering how it looked like the Frenchman was out of the squad at one point.

Barcelona are still looking for a buyer and have set their sights on the Premier League.

Chelsea are an option and United are also said to be interested if they manage to sign him for the right offer. In the case of the Red Devils, Griezmann had already been heavily linked with their membership before eventually signing with Barcelona.

Finally, it is said that Juventus are on alert regarding their future. But not all of these clubs have submitted an offer yet, and at the moment it’s unclear whether Griezmann would agree to join them.

And yet, the blaugranas desperately need to reduce the wage bill. Due to salary cap issues, they were unable to register Lionel Messi. It could become a real problem if they can’t find a buyer for Griezmann.
