Chelsea confirmed on Friday that defender Andreas Christensen will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.
The Danish international is expected to join Barcelona, after 10 years at Stamford Bridge.
Christensen, 26, scored two goals in 161 games for the ‘Blues’, having won numerous trophies including the Champions League and Europa League.
“Chelsea Football Club thanks Andreas for his contribution to our success over the last decade and wishes him well in his future career,” the team said in a statement on its website.
Midfielder Danny Drinkwater will also leave the club, while Antonio Rudiger’s departure as a free agent to Real Madrid has already been announced.
Drinkwater, 32, arrived in London from Leicester in 2017 but has made just 23 appearances during an unsuccessful spell with the London club, where the midfielder was loaned out multiple times.
