Chelsea and Leicester down, blushing Curl lose with Norwich | NOW

Chelsea did not take advantage of Leicester City’s 2-1 defeat to Everton on Wednesday. The team also went down at West Ham United: 3-2. Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul had a big part in his team’s 4-0 loss against Arsenal with a blunder.

Chelsea had taken over third place from Leicester City in a win over West Ham, but went down in the final phase. Substitute Andriy Yarmolenko was responsible for that goal.

Tomás Soucek appeared to open the score early on behalf of West Ham, but his goal was rejected due to offside by teammate Michail Antonio. Moments later, the ball was on the other side, after a penalty from Willian.

Soucek got his goal just before half-time, after which Antonio gave the home club the lead just before half-time. Via Willian, who curled a free kick into it, Chelsea came 2-2. The formation went on the hunt for the winning goal, but it fell through Yarmolenko on the other side.

Again no victory Leicester City

Leicester City also suffered damage in the hunt for a Champions League ticket. Since the resumption, ‘The Foxes’ took only two points. Number six Wolverhampton Wanderers has only three points less with six games to go.

Leicester, which was able to play in its own stadium despite the lockdown in the city, started dramatically and already faced a 2-0 deficit after sixteen minutes. Richarlison opened the score, after which Gylfi Sigurdsson doubled the lead from 11 meters.

Via a curious goal from substitute Kelechi Iheanacho (he got the ball shot against him), the home team came back to 2-1, but there was no more to it.

Curl into error at Norwich

Krul had a painful evening with Norwich City. The Dutch goalkeeper thought he could cut Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after half an hour, but the Gabonese outsmarted him and made it 1-0.

Granit Xhaka made it 2-0 before half-time, after which Aubameyang increased the lead to 3-0 in the middle of the second half. Cédric Soares made things worse for ‘The Canaries’ ten minutes before time, for which relegation is getting closer.

The Bournemouth of basic players Nathan Aké and Arnaud Danjuma Groeneveld should also increasingly fear a step backwards. The team went down 1-4 hard against Newcastle United and only holds Norwich.

Dwight Gayle, Sean Longstaff, Miguel Almirón and Valentino Lazaro were accurate for the guests. Allan Saint-Maximin was the declarant for the mid-engine no less than three times. Deep in the extra time Dan Gosling saved the honor for Bournemouth.
