Chelsea managed to advance to the quarterfinals English League Cup or Carabao Cup. The Blues beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0.
Chelsea vs Blackburn will be presented in the round of 16 at Stamford Bridge, Thursday (2/11/2023) early morning WIB. The home team tried to dominate the game from the start of the match.
Chelsea then got a goal in the 30th minute through Benoit Badiashile. The process started with a corner kick which the Blackburn players failed to anticipate, making it easier for Badiashile to shoot in a tight space.
The pressure from Chelsea continued to increase after taking the lead. However, Mauricio Pochettino’s troops almost conceded in the 43rd minute through Andrew Moran.
Blackburn surprised Chelsea early in the second half. Harry Leonard could have scored a goal if his shot had not deviated from the target.
Chelsea doubled their lead in the 59th minute. Raheem Sterling, who was controlled by two opposing players, fired an accurate kick targeting the top left corner of Blackburn’s goal.
The 2-0 score lasted until the match was finished. Chelsea also advanced in the Carabao Cup.
