Chefs compete in Reims during the Bocuse d’Or de France

After eight years of famine for France, a French chef won the Bocuse d’Or in September 2021 thanks to Lyonnais Davy Tissot. This Tuesday, November 23, 2021, in Reims (Marne), six chefs compete to represent France during this next edition, report Paris news.

One of them cooks “at home”. Aged 28, Paul Cabayé works at the Jardins d’Anaïs in Luxembourg but is originally from the Marne. After Davy Tissot this year, it is Naïs Pirollet who will represent the city of Paul Bocuse. The only other woman competing this Tuesday comes from Aveyron: Noémie Honiat, originally from Villefranche-de-Rouergue.

Also competing is the Alsatian of origin Jérôme Schilling, chef of the Hôtel-Restaurant Lalique – Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey in Gironde. The last two participants are Parisians. Boris Algarra from Mandarin Oriental and Julien Guénée from the Automobile Club de France. The latter has also already participated in the prestigious international competition in 2015.

The chefs will compete in front of the 17 jurors for four hours, can we read in the specialized magazine The Choir of Chefs. They will have at their disposal typical ingredients from the Reims region: pike, onions and different lettuce hearts. The winner will represent France at the Bocuse d’Or Europe on March 23 and 24, 2022 in Budapest (Hungary). Last step before the Bocuse d’Or International organized on the occasion of the International Catering Fair (Sirha) in January 2023.
