Check out the images of the OnePlus Nord SE that has been canceled

OnePlus marked its return to the mid-range sector with the launch of the OnePlus North last year. The OnePlus Nord has been quite popular in the market for less than 400 euros. A few months after its launch, rumors began to hint at a special edition variant, called OnePlus Nord SE.

However, the device was not launched and will never see the light of day. However, some exclusive images of the canceled OnePlus Nord SE have been published on the web.

OnePlus, as we know, is no stranger to special edition smartphones. Thus, for this project, the company joined forces with Joshua Vides, a renowned designer and the founder of the design studio “Reality To Idea”. Now a report from Recalled gives us a first glimpse of the special packaging and the device through a series of photos.

As you can see from the pictures, The OnePlus Nord SE was supposed to come in a special collector’s edition box. The packaging was to feature a white and black color scheme. It had a paper-like theme which I thought looked pretty cool. And the way the box opens is impressive.

Inside the box is a standard OnePlus Nord device wrapped in a white and black sleeve. There is also a case and tote bag on the theme of Reality To Idea. On the back of the box, there is a QR code that leads users to a stylish wallpaper specially designed for the OnePlus Nord SE.

Just a renamed OnePlus Nord

Coming to the device, surprisingly, there is nothing special about it. This is’a standard OnePlus Nord in a gray and ash color scheme. According to the report, it was supposed to come in a storage configuration of 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

In another report, it is stated that the company was aiming to launch the device at a price of 499 €. However, it’s not clear why the Chinese giant abandoned the project and released a standard OnePlus Nord device in a special “Gray Ash” color scheme in October 2020 instead.
