Chechen Leader Kadyrov Posts Video of Mariupol Raid

MARIUPOL – Chechen Republic leader Ramzan Kadyrov uploaded a video showing the military storming the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, where Ukrainian nationalists were stranded.

Russian and Donetsk militias surrounded Ukrainian nationalists in Mariupol, the second largest city in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“Our people are actively raiding the Azovstal metallurgical plant, where the remnants of the militants from the national battalion have found shelter,” Kadyrov said, reported by Sputnik.

“In this footage, we can see a tactical quadrocopter inspecting the area, identifying enemy shooting positions,” he said.

He added, “Among other things, our fighters saw a sniper crawling on the roof of one of the buildings, who, upon being found, attempted to flee. Without a second thought, the Chechen fighters decided to eliminate the target.”

He stressed that the troops managed to keep casualties among their ranks to a minimum.
