CHARTRES – Meeting around non-violent communication

Saturday September 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the L’Esperluète bookstore in Chartres: meeting around non-violent communication.

On the occasion of the national day of the practice groups of non-violent communication (NVC) in France, the self-management practice group of Chartres offers a meeting on Saturday September 26 at the bookstore L’ESPERLUETE, 10 rue Noël Ballay in Chartres from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The members of the Chartres group offer you a meeting to discover the NVC, the local training proposals, the functioning of the local group in self-management, and answer your questions.

What is NVC?

You aspire to live relationships where we listen to each other when we talk to each other, where each exchange is a privileged moment, where we can understand each other beyond differences, where we can experience cooperation rather than competition?

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is an approach that highlights what facilitates or hinders the relationship. It helps us to reconnect with a quality of listening to ourselves and to others, and to rediscover the benevolence and empathy that we naturally carry within us, from the fundamental vision that all human beings have. same needs. These needs connect us to each other.

It was developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg, doctor of psychology, student and collaborator of Carl Rogers, editor of many books including “Words are windows or they are walls”.

Since its inception in the 1970s, it has been taught and applied all over the world, including in areas of conflict and violence. More than a process or a language, NVC gives us the keys to understanding our functioning as human beings. It offers another way of thinking, expressing yourself and exercising your power.

It is an invitation to focus our attention on what is at stake for us and for others, and to reflect on our intention: to continue playing “who is wrong, who is right?” Or else (r) establish the link. Within groups, the NVC process makes it possible to clarify the issues, to facilitate decision-making and the implementation of projects. The practice of NVC then allows us to develop a climate of trust, cooperation and solidarity, whatever the role of each one.

NVC is used to resolve conflicts, improve relationships, and increase performance in all areas of human endeavor.
