Entrepreneurship runs in the family, but you still have to dare. At only 21 years old, Nicolas Martin was not afraid to take the plunge and launched his own company a few months ago in the agglomeration of Chartres (Eure-et-Loir).
Changing the way of doing insurance
The baccalaureate in his pocket, the young man embarks on a BTS in alternation in the insurance, a bit “by chance, we don’t get into insurance out of passion”, he admits. And then, over the course of his years of business experience, he developed a taste for it, nevertheless regretting the lack of real contact with customers.
With craftsmen and tradesmen parents in Eure-et-Loir, a sports coach brother at home and on his own account, it was enough for Nicolas to motivate himself to open his own business, AVL Courtage, diminutive ofMake sure Free.
For individuals and professionals
The young entrepreneur who claims to “advocate his age” has been offering a different service from traditional insurance for several months. With around twenty partner insurance companies, it compares their prices and terms to offer its customers the best solution.
Car, home, life, loan, retirement or even mutual insurance for individuals and professionals (his specialty): “my role is that my clients find the right shoes for them and my services are free since I am commissioned by my partners” , explains Nicholas.
The insurance trader
He who started September 2021 in this entrepreneurial adventure saw the Covid-19 pandemic as an opportunity rather than a brake on his professional life, “people want to save money, I am in a way the commercial face of insurance”.
If word of mouth works rather well in Chartres and Nicolas begins to weave a loyal clientele which advertises him, the young man wants to break the clichés of the insurance business.
Democratizing the terms of insurers
Coming from generation Z of smartphones and social networks, the Chartrain finds customers at the other end of France thanks to his videos posted on the network TikTokwhich reached the 800 million active users.
After timid beginnings, where it was sometimes complicated to stage, his video schedule, another facet of his job, is well established.
Two videos per week on TikTok
“The week before, I think about the topics of the videos, I record myself, I edit and I try to post two videos a week on Tuesday and Friday,” he explains.
With these videos, I try to democratize and popularize our profession. Today, people want to be relieved of these administrative parts as much as possible. The objective is to make the subject educational, dynamic.
To capture the attention of users of the application, a little chat, words accessible to everyone, subtitles and some good advice from friends do the trick.
Practice.
