The 47-year-old from Göttingen, detained since January, is accused of more than 100 alleged abuses, investigators said on Monday. The series of crimes allegedly lasted from 1998 to the end of 2021, the abuse victims were from northern and eastern Hesse.
The charge against the man from Göttingen is gross sexual abuse of children and wards. The investigations against the suspect were initiated by the USA. The man was noticed because he allegedly disseminated child pornography on the Internet. When evaluating the data carriers found during a search of his apartment, there were indications of abuse.
According to the indictment, the former teacher allegedly abused children 64 times and adolescents 35 times and possessed child pornography in 15 cases. The District Court of Fulda must now decide whether to open the main proceedings.
