Amsterdam – Many Dutch people are in great uncertainty about the energy surcharge of 800 euros that municipalities will pay out. In one municipality the money has already been transferred, in the other it will take weeks. Middle-income earners, meanwhile, struggle with unaffordable bills. “I fear that many households that are normally just getting by will soon be in debt counseling.”
