Again – no, there is still no automatic box that can do without replacement, the only clear exception is e-CVT, but even there it is better to change the lubricant every now and then. Anyway, how The CVT, the planetary gearbox with hydraulic converter, but also the DSG require replacement, no matter how much the car manufacturer and dealer in the car showroom will try to tell you otherwise (it is common to say that the oil in the gearbox is “for life”). There are still some mechanical and hydraulic components inside, there is some friction and the oil degrades over time. Automatic transmission oil change procedures

Input diagnostics – as soon as a serious transmission failure occurs, changing the oil doesn’t make a lot of financial sense. In connection with this there is a need to import the car with the gearbox installed if possible.

Peeling and preparation – cars today have the chassis completely covered and covered with plastic. Everything must be removed to access the gearbox.

Access to the exchange – here the procedure will be very different. Some cabinets don’t have a bottom tub, others do. In that case, the vat is usually removed, if not, the oil is drained through the drain hole or by removing the filter.

Connection to the gearbox circuit – by means of special links, which, to put it simply, are actually several transitions. A special oil change must enter the lubrication circuit and be able to extract it from the box old oil and pump with new oil instead. You can recognize a good service by the fact that it has this connection to your broadcast, because there are roughly two to three hundred variations.

Proplac – the most important and visually very interesting part of the oil change automatic transmission. Clean oil enters on one side, old oil is pumped out on the other. Once it is seen that what comes out of the exchange is the same color as that which enters it, the circuit is closed and the exchange is complete. Flushing is done because a lot of oil remains in the gearbox after draining. The new clean grease would be diluted with it and from the start it would be so it wasn’t 100%. By washing it is ensured that the entire filling is of adequate quality. It should be noted that the oil change takes place with the engine running and during the oil change the individual gears are changed. Absolutely minimal residues of old oil can remain in various angles, but this is a negligible amount.

Heat the filling and pour to the surface – the new lubricant is heated to the operating temperature and topped up to the required level.

Duration and price of automatic transmission oil change

In a normal machine, the lubricant can be changed during the process two or three hours. In short, the process requires something, and as you can see from the lines above, it’s not an easy task. Again, the price varies depending on the type of exchange for five thousand crownsfor excess amounts 20 thousand crowns. The upper limit, however, applies more to cars where the transmission must be removed for replacement, which logically raises costs.
