Nothing left to chance. The Ferrari wants to be ready for the first date of 2022 F1 World Championship. The championship will kick off in Bahrain and the Red, after having pleasantly impressed during the tests, wants to start the year with a highly optimized package.
La F1-75, thanks to the many kilometers traveled during the pre-season tests, it provided the technicians with a lot of information. The priority from this point of view was that of minimize unwelcome porpoising as much as possibleor rather the pumping of the car in full straight, a criticality common to all the ground effect single-seaters this season.
For this reason, the technicians from Maranello have made a small contribution modification to the arrangement of the front wing with the aim of facilitating the balancing of the load and at the same time it went to touch the bottom, with the addition of a flap adheres to the edge to better manage the direction of the local flow. A solution that recalls the one studied by McLaren precisely for the “pumping” issue. It is no coincidence that it is also noticeable the presence of a cutout on the edge of the rear section of the bottom in order not to lose excessively performance.

Linked to this aspect, an important novelty is that of a new diffuser that the Rossa introduced for this first round, as witnessed by the Spanish colleague Albert Fabrega. A novelty clearly intended to improve the aerodynamic behavior of the car and make it even more stable and efficient.
