“I don’t have an explanation for that. I have no idea why the referee made this decision. It’s a shame. I don’t know if it was a regular goal or not. But if we managed to score it, we could at least make a turn. Captain Petra Bertholdová told Czech Television.
The Czechs are in third place in the incomplete table of group C, their chances for the historically first promotion to the World Cup are only at the level of theory. They have three more matches left and the Netherlands lose nine points. Iceland has one more point. The group’s winner will advance to the world championships in Australia and New Zealand, and the other team will go to the draw.

The Czechs put their opponents in the second half under pressure, but for a long time they could not work out a clear chance. “We didn’t play well in the first half and we imagined. We were not very aggressive, we didn’t get to the end and we didn’t have as many starts for defense.
