2. Chelsea-FC Barcelona (Semi-final 2011-12)
May 6, 2009. The Blues leave the C1 on the “it’s a fucking disgraceBy Drogba after a more than contentious semi-final against Barça. Three seasons later, the Londoners find the Catalans at the same stage of the competition. After a 1-0 success in their lair, Chelsea find themselves led 2-0 and reduced to 10 at Camp Nou. 3. FC Barcelone-Bayern Munich (demi-finals 2014-15)
Humiliated by Bayern in the semifinals of the 2012-13 edition (7-0 in aggregate), FC Barcelona offered a tasty revenge in 2015, again in the last four. On the first leg, Messi made Boateng dance and the Catalans took a clear advantage (3-0). Sheltered by a double from Neymar, they do not tremble on the return despite a short defeat (2-3). Three weeks later, MSN climbed onto the roof of Europe against Juve.

4. Real Madrid-Bayern Munich (Demi-finale 2013-14)
For this 2013-14 edition, Real crosses the road of Bayern one step away from the final. Two years earlier, the hopes of the Merengue had vanished at the same time as Sergio Ramos’ shot on goal against the Bavarians. En route to their Decima, Ancelotti’s men are not lacking. After a 1-0 success in Madrid, the Spaniards scatter Bayern on their own lawn (4-0). A redemptive double from Ramos and another from Ronaldo opened the doors to the final.

5. Chelsea-Liverpool (Demi-finale 2007-08)
When Chelsea crossed paths with Liverpool in the semi-finals in May 2008, Londoners had two very frustrating setbacks against the Reds at this point in the competition. Eliminated on the wire in 2005, the Blues also lost on penalties in 2007. Like the first two, this third duel in four seasons is played on the wire. After a draw at Anfield (1-1), the two teams go into extra time at Stamford Bridge. But Lampard and Drogba release theirs and send them, finally, to the C1 final (3-2).

6. Juventus-FC Barcelona (Quarter-final 2016-17)
Falling against MSN in the final of the 2015 edition (1-3), Juve found FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the 2016-17 season. Launched by an exquisite Dybala and author of a double, the Turinese slap the Catalans in the first leg (3-0). Warned after Barça’s comeback against PSG in the eighth, the Old Lady perfectly manages the return and prevents the slightest start of fire at Camp Nou (0-0). Everything in control.

7. Real Madrid-Lyon (Round of 16 2010-11)
Barely a year after Pjanic’s stab at the Bernabeu, Real do not miss the opportunity to wash away the affront inflicted by OL in 2010. Merengue and Gones meet again in the round of 16. After a narrow match at Gerland (1-1), the Spaniards raise their voice on the return and blow up the Lyonnais (3-0). Marcelo unlocks the game and Benzema then Di Maria finish the job to validate the revenge.

8. Lyon-PSV Eindhoven (Round of 16 2005-06)
Was there a penalty on Nilmar? For the Lyonnais, that is not a shadow of a doubt. Twelve months after their cruel elimination in the quarter-finals after a penalty shootout, they met PSV Eindhoven in the round of the 2005-06 edition. 9. Real Madrid-Borussia Dortmund (Quart de finale 2013-14)
Pulverized by a Lewandowski quadruplet in the semifinals of the previous edition, Real Madrid have the chance to fall on Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals of the 2013-14 season. At the Bernabeu, the Merengues spend their nerves. Bale opens the ball from the start, Isco doubles the stake and Ronaldo closes the mark in the second period (3-0). A clear and flawless success that could have turned out to be insufficient. In Germany, a double from Reus made Madrid tremble who will manage to hold out until the end (0-2). We don’t do it twice.

10. Manchester United-Milan (Round of 16 2009-10)
Opposed to Milan from the eighth of the 2009-10 edition, the Red Devils keep in mind the elimination suffered at the gates of the final in the spring of 2007, facing an incandescent Kaka (3-2 then 0-3). Sir Alex Ferguson’s men dotted the i’s in the first leg, which won 3-2 at San Siro with a brace from Rooney.
