Several matches in the round of 16 remain to be played before the start of the quarter-finals of the Champions League on 12 August. Here is the schedule.
Round of 16
The “final 8” from Champions League will start on Wednesday August 12, reports RTL. Before this date, several matches in the second leg will still have to be played.
Because of the health crisis, the return leg between the Juventus de Turin and the Lyonnais did not happen. The latter emerged victorious on February 26 by 1 to 0, at Groupama Stadium. Thus, they should confirm this achievement by qualifying, at Turin, Friday August 7 during the eighth final second leg.
Meetings Real Madrid – ManchesterCity, Bayern Munich -Chelsea and FC Barcelona – Naples were also discontinued. Thus, the return matches will be played on August 7 and 8.
The first quarter-finals
For the quarter-finals, the PSG will open the ball rolling with a knockout match againstAtalanta Bergame, Wednesday August 12 at 9 p.m. The Parisian club will probably play without Kylian Mbappé.
The next day, Thursday August 13, RB Leipzig and theAtético de Madrid will clash. The two winners of these meetings will meet in the semi-finals on Tuesday, August 18.
The final for August 23
Friday August 14, the team that will qualify for the second leg Chelsea-Bayern will be faced with either Naples either at FC Barcelona. As for the winner of Lyon-Juventus, he will have to face the Real Madrid or from Manchester City, Saturday August 15. The semi final qualifying clubs from this part will take place on Wednesday August 19.
The finale of the Champions League will play on Sunday 23 August.
