The fact that Tony Rickardsson stayed in two night duels has become something that is joked about in the program. When the speedway champion appeared at the breakfast after knocking out Anna Wijk, he took the opportunity to drift a bit with the other participants.
– I was almost thinking of asking you if there is anyone who wants my room. It’s quite a chore to keep packing into the bags and unpacking, so I thought I’d move out in one of the buses, he says and continues:
– Can I sort of live in it, keep my pack there and go to and from the competitions and off to night duels. Then I will get much more sleep.
And it takes a couple of seconds before the rest of the gang around the breakfast table understands that Tony Rickardsson is just drifting, and everyone starts laughing.
