Champion Cup Competition Successfully Nets 15,127 PUBG Mobile Gamers

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Jawara Cup, a game competition held by Telkomsel together with PUBG Mobile is considered to be able to create an esports ecosystem in Indonesia. This competition presents more opportunities for online gamers to hone skills, share interests, connect and collaborate.

Telkomsel’s Vice President of Digital Lifestyle, Nirwan Lesmana, in this case said through the Dunia Games platform, “We want to open more opportunities for gamers in Indonesia to explore the esports industry, both at the amateur and professional levels,” he said in a press statement.

Telkomsel hopes that the participating participants can enjoy the game with enthusiasm and display world-class playing skills.

For your information, registration for the Jawara Cup has been opened on September 9 and closed on September 30 online via pmjc.id.

And for the first time, the Jawara Cup managed to collect 15,127 players who were ready to compete. Of the 15,127 players, 3,819 players registered in the solo player category while 11,308 other players registered in the squad player category where one squad consists of four players to form 2,827 squads.

The competition categories for solo and squad players are not made without reason. The solo player category was created to facilitate players who do not have a team and at the same time look for great talent from mediocre players scattered throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the squad category is provided as the right place to show the competitive spirit of the community who has been practicing hard to become champions.

In this competition, the organizers have provided prizes worth a total of IDR 680 million which will be distributed to the 1st to 4th place winners in each category as well as dozens of participants who entered the top 60.

The format of the solo player match, players are required to collect points starting in the qualifying round which starts on October 8 in order to get ranked and advance to the provincial level finals. The map that will be used for the Best of 1 qualification is Erangel, while for the provincial final to find Best of 3 on October 9, we will use the Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok maps.

The National Grand Finals will look for Best of 3 with the Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok maps on October 10.

For the squad category, the game format is not much different. Squad players are required to collect points starting in the qualifier round which starts on October 9 to find the Best of 1 using the Erangel map.

The provincial level final to find the Best of 3 squad category will be held on October 10 using the Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok maps.
