The chairman of GERB, Boyko Borisov, held a meeting of the party structure in Sofia, in order to personally acquaint the people’s representatives, municipal councilors and heads of regions in the capital with the political situation related to the blockade of the Sofia Municipal Council.
Borisov commented with those present on the decisions to be taken both in Sofia and at the national level. The meeting was attended by the long-time mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova, and the regional coordinator of GERB in Sofia, Daniela Raycheva, GERB announced.
“GERB is the party that people associate with work and responsibility. It is obvious that at the moment there is a need for a plan to save Sofia”, commented those present on the occasion of the chaos in the management of the capital in the last three months.
During the meeting, dozens of meetings, events and open receptions for citizens in Sofia in the last month were reported, in which European MPs actively participated. In the month of January alone, the party accepted over 40 new members from various metropolitan areas.
“The strong relationship with people is the basis of our success!”, emphasized Boyko Borisov.
