CHIHUAHUA
Governor Javier Corral Jurado revealed that within the corruption network created by the former Governor César Duarte Jáquez, are the current municipal president of Chihuahua, María Eugenia Campos, who has asked her to close this investigation.
In a virtual press conference, he added that in this network of corruption and protection, Duarte Jáquez had a secret payroll, where the delivery of cash was recorded.
In that network is the mayor of the PAN, the senator of Morena, Cruz Pérez Cuellar, but also some priests and social leaders.
He said that the Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office has “all the cases of the secret payroll with which Duarte was building a protection network for political, social, religious, business, partisan actors, that is in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office.”
The municipal president of Chihuahua, María Eugenia Campos, publicly requested the governor of Chihuahua to close that investigation.
In response, Corral Jurado said that this is a matter that the Prosecutor’s Office will determine in its time, in its forms, what corresponds in each case.
He added that even several of those involved already went to the FGE to give their statement or testimony, “some of them collaborators with the municipal president of Chihuahua.”
He added that he does not care if there are members of my own party, or priests, political leaders in this corruption network, we are not going to disappoint the sacrifice that so many people have made in this operation. He will hesitate, my greatest legacy will be the fulfillment of my main commitment to the people of Chihuahua. ”
