Centralization – This is what Pope Francis wishes for the political forces in Lebanon

Pope Francis received in the Vatican, as usual at the beginning of each year, the members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy See to exchange greetings on the occasion of the new year, and delivered a speech that touched on various current issues .

The Pope began his speech by emphasizing that “the presence of diplomats confirms the value of peace and human fraternity that dialogue helps to build”, noting that “the mission of diplomatic work is to mitigate conflicts to promote a climate of mutual collaboration and trust to respond to common needs”.

Pope Francis touched on the Lebanese situation, indicating that he is closely following the Lebanese situation, “still awaiting the election of the new President of the Republic”, hoping that “all political forces are committed to allowing the country to recover from the tragic economic situation and society in which it is found.
