“The so-called Adriatic Adriatic, as it is called under pressure, which comes to the territory of Central Europe from the Adriatic Sea, brings with it heavy rainfall. In combination with cold air, it will snow heavily,” the portal states on the website imeteo.sk.
However, the Adriatic is also very unstable. If warmer air starts to flow in the area, the snow will not last long, because it will start to rain heavily. Therefore, meteorologists expect heavy snowfall on Thursday. What weather awaits us in the Czech Republic on the individual days of this week in this article.
By the end of the week, however, warming should begin in Europe and snow should be replaced by rain. However, in some places, such as the Alps, Croatia, Austria or Slovenia, the cold front is maintained. Meteorologists here estimate that up to 20 centimeters of snow could fall.
“Above the Adriatic, further pressure below should deepen, which will greatly affect the weather in the Alps. In the south, up to two meters of snow could fall,” experts add.
