Celtic band of the mosquito: enchanted land

FRIDAYS OF TRADITION.

Training center. 7:00 pm.

Free admission subject to availability.

The Mosquera Celtic Band presents a powerful and well-rounded live performance that does not leave the public or the specialized critics indifferent. With an abundance of current bagpipes and sounds, they are the best example of how sounds taken from different cultures can work together.

Its leader, Fernando Mosquera, born in Toledo but of Galician descent, is one of the most unusual artists with the greatest projection on the current music scene, as he is able to play more than 60 different instruments today (around 15 of them in a concert unique). Musician, composer, music producer and sound engineer, he has just created his own label, Uilleann’s Celtic Studios, where he records most of the work he does.

The band members are:

Sara Calatrava: voice in Spanish, Galician and English.
Rafa Martínez-Campos: acoustic and electric guitars, parlor guitar and programming.
José Alberto Ortiz: drums and percussion.
Fernando Mosquera: tin whistles, low whistles, Italian ocarina, harmonicas, Galician bagpipes, Irish uilleann, big Highland bagpipes and small Scottish pipes.
