Céline and Michiel have been managing the most popular YouTube channel in Flanders for years. One million followers can seriously count as a milestone, which is why they will soon receive a golden Play Button from YouTube itself. The company sends it to every content creator who taps the one million followers. “We are very proud and grateful that we have been able to achieve this and now on to the two million,” said CEMI.

CEMI discovered the good news thanks to Michiel’s parents. “They called us in because we were shooting a video outside. They said, ‘You have 999,990 subscribers, let’s count down together inside’. Via a ‘live subscriber count’ we then counted down together until we hit one million.”

CEMI started posting videos on YouTube in 2019. They share their lives through vlogs and post videos where they joke and take on challenges. A younger audience in particular is a fan of the couple, saying they target young people between the ages of six and eighteen. Céline and Michiel have even provided merchandise for those fans. Sweaters, t-shirts, socks and earrings from the YouTubers are a success. On top of that, CEMI also ventured into songs: ‘So special’ and ‘Merry Christmas’. Their work was previously awarded a Golden K for ‘YouTube hit of the year’.
