If the year 2020 brought its share of surprises in connection with the difficulties caused by the pandemic, business leaders are still trying to adjust in order to continue their development. At Construction CEG, we remain optimistic for the future, still awaiting a return for calls for tenders in the Far North.

According to Charles-Éric Gauthier, CEO of CEG, two projects have already received the green light and are underway at the 155 rue Savard plant in Matane, namely the construction of two prefabricated modular buildings intended to take the road villages of Chisasibi (Cree Nation of Nord-du-Québec) and of Puvirnituq (Inuit community of Nunavik). According to Mr. Gauthier, these are buildings that will house telecommunications equipment and emergency generators, and the installation is planned for next June.

Another good news is that the entrepreneur is fulfilling the mandates of the Kativik Regional Government. These contracts are at the center of an ambitious project which aims to serve all the Inuit communities via a fiber optic internet communication service.

While the expertise in place is always ready to meet the challenges that arise year after year, the supply and price of materials are the main elements in 2021 that will be decisive in carrying out various projects.
