CD Projekt RED refuses to give up Cyberpunk 2077 and is sure they can finish the game

We are almost five months on from the bad release of Cyberpunk 2077 late last year. CD Projekt RED soon promised they would work on the game and while improvements have already been made, the dystopian RPG is still far from perfect.

Still, the Polish studio refuses to give up Cyberpunk 2077, co-CEO Adam Kiciński says in conversation with Reuters. Kiciński says they believe they can finish Cyberpunk 2077 and bring it to a state they can be proud of. Closing development and leaving the game for what it is is not an option, according to the studio head.

“I don’t see an option to shelve Cyberpunk 2077. We are convinced that we can bring the game to such a state that we can be proud of it and therefore successfully sell it for years to come.”

Cyberpunk 2077 is now no longer available in the PlayStation Store since December 2020 and according to CD Projekt RED, the ball is on Sony to reintroduce the game to the digital store. Meanwhile, it looks like the separate multiplayer mode deleted is.
