CD Projekt RED hints at future content updates for Cyberpunk 2077 amid development of sequel Project Orion

The release of the add-on for Cyberpunk 2077 has died down, but CD Projekt RED is not leaving the game unattended yet

The release of the Phantom Liberty story expansion and update 2.1 was supposed to be the end of “content support” for Cyberpunk 2077. It was assumed that in the future CD Projekt RED would only offer technical patches with fixes.

Perhaps in the future the situation may change somewhat. Cyberpunk 2077 Game Director Gabriel Amatangelo talked with the author of the YouTube channel Skill Up. During the conversation, he mentioned that several patches with new content could be released for the game.

At the same time, we are not talking about any large-scale update for Cyberpunk 2077 – most of the team was transferred to the development of the sequel. As far as we know, a group of 17 people is currently responsible for supporting the game:

“It really all depends on how involved we are in working on a Cyberpunk sequel, if the opportunity arises and someone on the team is interested in it, we would be open to [предложений]. Who knows what will happen in the next couple of years, but nothing [крупного для игры выпускать не планируется]».

CD Projekt RED is developing a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, currently codenamed Project Orion.
