A sort of chain has been running for several days on Facebook page and personal profiles, born from some parental chats on Whatsapp, which would represent a protest against the provisions of the security protocol, namely the isolation and abduction from the families of students with Covid-19 symptoms.
This is all a hoax: The guidelines for returning to class do not provide for anything of the kind, and in any case a post on Facebook has no validity to grant or deny any type of authorization.
At the moment the security protocol provides this: “In the event of the appearance of symptoms suggestive of a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection at school in an operator or in a student, the CTS emphasizes that the person concerned must be immediately isolated and equipped with a surgical mask, and provision must be made upon return, as soon as possible, to their home, and then follow the path already provided for by the law in force for the management of any suspicious case “.
The M5s deputy also intervened on the subject, Victory House, president of the Culture Commission, on Facebook: “There is a sensational hoax on social media, shared by many through a copy-paste chain. The false news concerns the alleged forced removal and hospitalization of students who show symptoms of Covid-19 during class hours “.
Obviously the procedures to follow are very different. I will try to summarize them in brief points:
In the event that a student shows symptoms, the class teacher will notify the school’s anti-covid contact person who will immediately contact the parents
the student will be accompanied to an isolation room, in the company of an adult with a protective mask.
Parents will pick up the student, take him home, and notify the pediatrician and family doctor.
If the student tests positive for the swab carried out by the ASL, the classmates and teachers will be quarantined for 14 days and the class sanitized.
The positive student will be able to return to class when he is cured, that is after two negative swabs 24 hours apart.
