The distribution group presented its turnover for the first quarter, but above all detailed the activity of the last four weeks of containment, a period which exceeds the first three months of the year.
Casino confirms that the confined French have given a bonus to convenience stores. In the food chains, growth stood at 9% over the last four weeks. It is roughly that of the market. If the Géant hypers are at + 12%, growth peaks at 24% at Franprix. Monoprix also does well in food, according to Casino’s financial director, David Lubek, but suffered on its textile shelves.
