Case IH has launched two new Farmall A tractors, 90hp 90A and 100hp 100A, which are part of the company’s expanded Farmall range from 55hp to 120hp.

Designed for small and medium-sized mixed farms, together with specialized livestock farms and small farms, these robust and versatile multi-purpose tractors are highly productive, comfortable and maneuverable. Offering excellent value for money, they are ideal for applications such as hay and forage, livestock, sowing, spraying, fertilizing, light tillage and transportation.

powerful and efficient

With Common Rail fuel injection and a 4-valve-per-cylinder design, the new 3.6-liter FPT F5 four-cylinder engine is very responsive. This engine is capable of delivering exceptional maximum torque at lower revs, 380Nm and 450Nm at 1300rpm on Farmall 90A and Farmall 100A respectively. The impressive 47% increase in torque offers great traction in high load situations.

Despite its remarkable responsiveness, the FPT F5 is very fuel efficient, which, combined with the larger 130-liter fuel and 14.4-liter AdBlue tanks, means you can spend more time working before refueling. Another significant benefit is the 600-hour maintenance intervals, which minimize downtime and maintenance costs.

A key feature of the engine is its highly efficient and maintenance-free after-treatment system (ATS). Developed to meet Stage V regulations, Compact Hi-eSCR2 emission reduction technology does not require filter replacement or mechanical cleaning. Highly effective, it integrates a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, which is very compact thanks to an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) rate of less than 10 %.

This advanced technology is contained under the engine hood, allowing for quick and easy installation of the loader, as well as easy access to the engine and oil filters located on the left side of the tractor. With no external components, the design also maximizes ground clearance, which contributes to operator safety during row crop and haymaking operations, provides excellent forward visibility and makes the tractor very easy to maneuver precisely .

Power is transmitted through a simple, efficient, reliable and durable 12 x 12 40 km / h mechanical transmission or via an optional hydraulically operated powerhuttle, the four gears in each of the three ranges allow you to select exactly the right speed for the task . A 20 x 20 creeper drive option is also available.

Farmall 90A and 100A all-wheel drive models feature a Class 1.0 heavy-duty front axle with electro-hydraulic differential lock, while non-adjustment ring disc brakes provide powerful stopping performance. Automatic activation of the four-wheel drive system under braking is also available to further improve performance, stability and safety.

Extended versatility

To extend the versatility of these new Farmall A models, the rear linkage has a maximum lift capacity of 4,400 kg, while the Case IH Lift-O-Matic ™ system offers quick lifting and lowering of attachments to a preset position in the headers. The tractors are also equipped with a self-modulating electro-hydraulic independent three-speed PTO (540 / 540E / 1000) with ECO options and ground speed.

Options include a mechanical front linkage capable of lifting up to 1400 kg, a 1000 rpm front PTO and an Extra Flow open center pump with a very high hydraulic flow rate of 82 l / m. This further improves loader cycle times and will be beneficial when operating linkage mounted implements via up to three remote outputs.

The two new Farmall A models can also be factory specified with loader-ready mounts and hydraulics, making them compatible with Case IH’s front loader offering. The ideal charger for the new Farmall A is the Case IH L3815A. Using a simple plug and play design, it has a lift height of up to 3.8m and a maximum capacity of 1922kg, ideal for general handling tasks.

Operators will appreciate the new 4 post flat floor cab with up to four external work lights and easy access via wide steps to the large single door. Inside there is more space, air conditioning is standard and the maximum sound level is only 77 db. The optional canopy has been enlarged to improve overhead visibility, while a 320 ° viewing angle provides an excellent 360 ° view, perfect when working in confined spaces. All controls are located on a panel to the right of the operator and are easily accessible, the air suspension seat optimizes ride comfort, while a USB socket and phone holder provide added convenience.

Edoardo Ronco, Case IH Product Manager responsible for the Farmall A range, says: “The new Farmall 90 A and Farmall 100 A are important innovations for Case IH in this important market sector. Both incorporate significant benefits that make them more productive, more profitable and more comfortable to use. “
