Toys to celebrate Three Kings Day, groceries, clothes and even candy were some of the objects stolen by men who entered the “Casa de Amor” foundation for children with cancer whose headquarters are located in the municipality of Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz.

It was through its Facebook account that the foundation reported this Thursday, January 4, the theft by subjects who until now have not even been able to be identified, much less detained by the authorities.

Among the most serious things is that the subjects “took on the task of reviewing the entire house and especially the legal papers that we have from our foundation,” reads the message posted on social networks.

“We started the year on the wrong foot once again, Casa de Amor was a victim of crime, they robbed us, they took our little ones’ candy for their Three Kings Day celebration, some toys and groceries that would be given to the families, clothes that were intended for them. and they took on the task of reviewing the entire house and especially the legal papers that we have from our foundation (we hope it is of some use to them),” it reads.

The post was also accompanied by a couple of photographs showing an office with messy papers on a table, open bags where there were clothes to donate and even a shelf where drugs are seen, although it is unknown if these were also stolen.

After the case went viral, Internet users have demanded that municipal and state authorities find those responsible, while calling for donations of clothing, toys and more items to the foundation.

“Only heartless people do that”, “How unfortunate!!! But everything in this life is paid for and no one is saved from divine justice,” were some of the words that users left in the publication, while offering their support by donating bags of candy and some toys, this two days before the Day. of Kings.

This foundation, which is located in the center of the city on Avenida Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada, uses a home equipped to provide services, becoming an important place for families with children with cancer.

However, its altruistic work has not prevented “Casa de Amor” from being a victim of various crimes and to date the facilities have had at least eight robberies, the worst year being 2020, when three were recorded, the last where they were left. without electrical wiring.

“Casa de Amor” has provided support to children with cancer who live in the south of Veracruz for more than two decades, however, state authorities have not given greater protection to the facility in order to guarantee its permanence and continuation of operations.
